Thanks. Yeah, I blinked a few times but the camera didn't see it.
It's a single exposure, 10mm, f/4.5, ISO 3200 @ 30sec. Processed in Lightroom, played around with clarity and contrast to bring out the Milky Way. Pool illuminated with an underwater Lume Cube, foreground light comes from my verandah lights that are behind the camera.

Step back in time with rustic wide plank floors, fireplace and wood stove, old-timey quilts, and rockers on the wrap-around porch for enjoying the clear starry nights or views of the highest mountains east of the Rockies.

Our historic, 100-year-old cottage is completely renovated with all new appliances, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and all necessary linens – the cottage sleeps up to 8 people. There are 2 bedrooms: one with a double bed, single bed, the other with a queen size bed and views of the mountains on two sides. A queen size sofa bed is in the living room next to the fireplace. There is one large bathroom with a glass-brick walled shower.
For entertainment on quiet nights or rainy days, there are also two cable TVs, a VCR, and a DVD player.
High-speed internet service now available for all your tech gadgets.

On the 2-acre lawn, under shady Poplar trees, you will find a volleyball/badminton net, horseshoe pit, hammock, picnic table, swing, cozy firepit and chairs. Known for clean and clear water, the nearby
is popular for fishing, swimming, and canoeing/ inner tubes for floating can be rented nearby. The valley is also very popular for hiking, waterfalls, and mountain-biking.
Studios of glass-blowers, potters, and weavers are nearby, plus many art and craft galleries in both Yancey and Mitchell Counties.
The Blueberry Cottage rental season is from May through the end of October. Please see the calendar below for cottage availability.
EFFECTIVE RATES & FEES 2017:
Daily Rate $115. with a two-day minimum.*
PLUS: 9.75 % North Carolina and Local Taxes, and one-time Cleaning Fee of $50.00.
Additional Pet Fee of $20 for well-behaved animals.
Check in is 3:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m. (check out can be flexible if there are not overlapping bookings).
* HOLIDAY WEEKENDS – MEMORIAL DAY,
JULY 4th and LABOR DAY – a minimum three-night stay.
Deposit is one DAILY RATE
by credit card through PayPal.

We encourage you not to smoke, but if you must, smoking is
