繁体字“發”和“髮”代表不同的意思，简体变成了同一个“发”字，为何？类似这样的例子在汉字里面还有么？

这是建国后搞简化汉字的一个主要原则：同音简化。 就是把在普通话中读音相近或相同的字简化为同一个字。 这种例子非常之多。 例如： 皇后，前後 蓬鬆，松樹 北斗，奮鬥 占卜，蘿蔔 沈約，瀋陽 党項，朋黨 范曾，範疇 反复，複製 诸如此类。 不过今年前一阵子政府颁布的《通用规范汉字表》中，把一些被简化合并的人名用字又给分开了。 比如： 钟和锺：钱锺书 乃和廼：刘廼发 升和昇、陞：毕昇，杨联陞 坤和堃： 哲和喆：陶喆 等等。这些人名用字就又变成了规范字，而不是繁体字或者异体字了。
因为他们的义项没有重叠，合并成一个字不会造成歧义。然而当年的砖家就没考虑过双向转换的问题……
