　　下面是一些五万以内的condo/townhouse，就在北加州。加州总体说是全美最贵的地方(旧金山房价世界排名第二)，我家房子的价格，在科州相同区域，只要1/3就能买到。那么在其他州，这样的房子应该还会便宜很多。
　　五万以下的房子都这么好，那为啥我们还要去买那几十万的？老公杰夫说了，买房子最重要的三因素，第一是location(地理位置)，第二是location，第三还是location(这点在国内也是同样重要，靠近好的学校和医院什么的房子都要比其他地方的贵很多)。房子的大小或者结构也许不是很重要，而位于什么地方确实非常关键的。美国的犯罪情况是这样，区域性非常明显，在比较好的小区邻居们都是有较高收入和教育程度的，都是“好人”，停放在外面的车子、家里的门一夜不锁(忘记了)，也不是什么大问题。全美80以上民居是木结构，一把电锯就能轻而易举攻入屋内，但却没有防盗门窗。但是美国地大人稀，没车就等于没腿，这里的公交很不方便(因为基本家家都几辆车)，所以居住在较贫穷区域的人想出来犯罪也不是很容易。顺便说一句，美国总体治安非常不错，犯罪率高的主要是穷人居住的区域。
　　虽然便宜房区居住的人员肯定是比较杂乱的，各色人等都有，生活环境不会太清净安全；而且房车类墙壁很薄，不隔音，龙卷风一来就连根拔跑了，这也是个大问题。但是，对于还在学校的学生，刚刚工作的年轻人，或者工资很低的人群，这样的房子是非常实用的。虽说人员嘈杂环境较差，但也只是相对而言。我们开车进去的那个房车区，路面干净整洁，鲜花处处，门口的人们看起来也很友善。而且龙卷风不是常客所以没必要担心。
　　说明一点：美国的高，但是买房前一般要经过一道程序：银行要对买房者的收入情况和银行信用等进行考察，确定你有还贷能力，和你商量好每月的还贷数额，然后估算出你可以买什么价位的房子，再贷款给你。这样就确保了银行的利益不受损失，也让买房者根据自己的经济实力购买合适价格的房子，定出还贷标准，不至于买完房后让自己陷于困境。
　　在我前面的一篇博文里说到的麦克和苏珊家，一直几乎就是麦克在工作，苏珊在家带孩子，她去年才重新出来上班；在我家，一直是我先生一人工作，我和女儿上大学；在这样的情况下，我们都可以通过贷款买到自己喜欢的房子，至少这一点我是很满意的，不然对于才来美国三年半还在读书没有一分钱收入的我，会完全找不到出路(买房).
