根据国务院办公厅发布的节假日安排显示，今年中秋节正逢新历9月27日(周日)，因此中秋节放假时间为：9月26日(星期六)、9月27日中秋节(星期天，法定节假日)，共两天。而今年国庆节10月1日至7日放假调休，共7天。10月10日(星期六)上班。
和往年相比，今年的中秋假期有所变动。《通知》中明确写明：中秋节9月27日放假，不补休。记者调查发现，持续多年通过调休而成的3天中秋小长假明年不会再出现在公众的视野中。
部分网友对对中秋放假安排表示“看不懂”，认为9月27日本来就是周日，中秋节只放周六和周日2天假，何谈中秋节放假?实际上，中秋节的那1天假期是在国庆假期中补休的。
为什么中秋节“没有补假”?避免国庆节后连上9天班
2015年部分节假日安排一出，细心的网友发现，中秋节恰逢周日，本应在工作日补假，但仅周六、日放假2天，认为这与《国务院关于修改&全国年节及纪念日放假办法&的决定》相关规定不符。
《决定》第六条规定：“全体公民放假的假日，如果适逢星期六、星期日，应当在工作日补假。”
就此问题，有关部门表示：因2015年中秋节和国庆节相邻近，如果中秋节在9月28日补假，国庆节后10月10日、11日(周六、日)就都需上班，为避免大家连上9天班，中秋节的补假放在了国庆节一起安排，国庆节后仅10月10日(周六)上班，公民休假总天数并未减少。

据了解，中秋节起源于古代秋季祭祀土地神的活动。在传统的农耕社会里，春播、夏收、秋获、冬藏是主要的劳作活动。土地收成的情况，对于以此为生的人们来说至关重要。因此，人们对于土地还有深深的敬畏之情。每到春天播种之时，都会祭祀土地神，祈求土地神赐予五谷丰登，这种活动被称为“春祈”。到了秋季，正是收获的季节，也要祭祀土地神，拜谢神的庇护，称为“秋报”。八月十五是秋季收获的季节，各家都要拜土地神，所以，中秋节可能是古人“秋报”遗传下来的习俗。
