Join our founding technical team
Taproll is looking for a gifted web front-end engineer / guru to join our founding technical team. If you have an eye for simple and elegant user interfaces and the coding chops to build clean, blazing-fast CSS and Javascript, we want to talk to you. We are a small entrepreneurial team of expert product designers and developers with an obsessive desire to build truly awesome services that make a difference in people's lives. We're looking to expand our founding technical team with a senior engineer who will lead our front-end design and development.
What's the product?
Our mission is to take the guessing work out of hiring locally online. How many times have you needed to hire someone *great* - be it a babysitter, housecleaner, graphic designer, or fitness trainer - and got stuck searching on Google or Craigslist, where its hard to make heads or tails of who's actually good? Taproll makes it easy to *see* who you're hiring in high-definition, so you can hire based on what you see, not what you read. We're also developing an exciting social referral system to provide micro-incentives for people to promote and refer the great professionals on Taproll to friends and colleagues.
What's the role?
We're looking for a talented front-end web developer who has experience with (and an eye for) visual and interaction design, but who is a hard-core coder at heart. You'll be helping us concept and build innovative new ways for people to interact with data, images, video and other people via our website and via mobile applications. You should be able to design user interfaces and code them in a browser- and device-compliant fashion quickly.
In this role, we're looking for a senior level engineer with a proven track record who is interested in partnering with us as a member of our founding technical team. You'll work closely with our CTO (a search algorithms PhD from Cal) who will focus on the backend and architecture while you run the show on the front-end. Based on your experience and background, you'll be eligible for a founder's equity stake.
