With improvement of technology of the society and people's living standards ,  demands on the locks also increase, and the infrared remote-controlled technology and single-chip combination of remote-controlled infrared electronic locks are gradually occupying the market. The system, of which the AT89C51 single-chip is designed as the core of detection and control of the monitoring device,in accordance with 51 single-chip serial communication theory, uses infrared in transmission in order to make it have the function of random password encryption and information protection, as well as the function of opening control, infrared password changing and system lock. What’s more, by using infrared remote control, it has a great advantage compared with mechanical locks and electronic keyboard locks. This system is mainly designed with three modules, including infrared remote control sending and receiving, single-chip control and display components, unlock and alarm module. The software is designed with top-down modular idea, so as to keep the system advancing in direction of distribution and small-orientation, and thus enhance its scalability and stability.
