哪些英语马桶疏通器用法图是普通中国学生最生疏的

请附上例句和解释,谢谢!如果能分别说一下美国、英国、澳大利亚的本地用法更好。传送门:
知乎首答。看了好几个回答,觉得这个问题很好,我也来添一些每天听到的看到的英文。有些内容很基础,但我觉得是很native的表达,我也贴上来。答主英国留学马上第3年,真心觉得语言学习是一个永无止境的过程,经常会有新收获。1. Do you need a hand?也可以说Can I give you a hand? 就是Can I help you的意思。give you a hand从字面上就可以看出来是那种actual physical assistance 。在地铁里看到老太太提着行李下楼梯,就可以问Do you need a hand。2. to leave for good一个英国老太太一次问我暑假有什么计划,我说我会回家。她就问我Are you leaving for good?我当时没反应过来,旁边的我的英国朋友已经帮我答说我过完暑假还回来。才知道for good是forever的意思,是问我是不是走了不回来。3. Just bring yourself一次去英国人家做客,去之前我问女主人要不要我做一些中式的菜带去,对方回答我Just bring yourself。什么也别带,你人来就好了。这句话用来谢谢别人的好意很好用。4. secure这个词我之前只知道有安全稳妥方面的意思。直到有一次我朋友跟我说,他朋友形容我a young man secure with himself。secure也有confident、happy的意思5. 你在逛街,营业员问有什么要帮忙的,如果你只是随意看看,可以说I'm just browsing.6. layover 这个貌似是美式英语,英式英语说stopover,但我一般都说layover。比方说我从伦敦飞北京,在巴黎转机,就是a layover in Paris7. to let刚到英国的人肯定会见到这个词,街上房子前面经常有个招牌to let 就是有房出租的意思,to sublet就是转租的意思8. reception大家肯定都知道这个词有接待处的意思,但手机信号也可以用这个词,good/bad reception9. a nice touch我一次跟人聊天说我新买了一个kettle水壶喝茶,我的英国同学接了一句nice touch。这个词我有和我的翻译老师提到过,她说可以译为小巧思,但我感觉还是不够精准。这个短语的意思是a good addition,比方说在桌上摆一瓶花可以是a nice touch,摆一瓶花不是必须的,但是是个很好的补充。10. I second that也有说I'll second that,还有说second的,这个就是I agree的意思。经常看到twitter或者FB上有人这么回,给我一种+10086的即视感。
&b&&i&&u&4.14.2016 更新 36-40。&/u&&/i&&/b&&br&&b&&i&&u&(谢谢知友们的赞,留言和私信。这个搬运工的活儿我做得很开心。会继续更新。)&/u&&/i&&/b&&br&&br&&i&&b&&u&11.21.2015更新 31-35。&/u&&/b&&/i&&br&&i&&b&&u&8.25.2015更新 26-30。&/u&&/b&&/i&&br&&i&&b&&u&8.11.2015更新 23-25。&/u&&/b&&/i&&br&&i&&b&&u&8.4.2015更新 17-22。&/u&&/b&&/i&&br&&i&&b&&u&8.2.2015更新 11-16。&/u&&/b&&br&&/i&&br&以下全是日常所见所闻,并且在国内未曾学习到的。&br&&br&1. No problem!&br&在国内学到的是:&br&-Could you help me with xxx?&br&-&b&&u&No problem!&/u&&/b&&br&&br&而在这边听到的往往是:&br&-Thank you!&br&-&b&&u&No problem.&/u&&/b&&br&&br&有时甚至:&br&-Oh sorry!&br&-&b&&u&No problem!&/u&&/b&&br&&br&2. Go by&br&在课堂自我介绍时,有时会说中文名,然后英文名。Instead of saying &My Chinese name is xxx, and my English name is xxx.&, 你可以这样说:&br&&br&-My name is xxx(你的原名), and I &b&&u&go by&/u&&/b& xxx(你的英文名).&br&&br&一些美国学生不乐意用自己的原名,而偏好昵称,也可以用&u&go by来&/u&表达:&br&&br&-My name is Catherine, and I &b&&u&go by&/u&&/b& Cat.&br&&br&3. Appreciate it!&br&每次从校车上下来时,大家都会礼貌地对司机表示感谢,有次看到四个小哥鱼贯而出,每个人表达感谢的语句都不同。除了常见的&Thank you very much!&,&Thanks a lot!&以外,我觉得最好听的就是&b&&u&“Appreciate it!&&/u&&/b&&br&&br&4. Have a good one!&br&美国人很喜欢互相道好,无论认识不认识。每次和人再见的时候(可能是下班,结完账离开超市,下课等等),往往会对同事/收银员/老师/...说声&Have a good day/night&之类的。有时下午5,6点,天还没黑,我总会把”Have a good night!&说成&Have a good day!&,后来发现,还有种更简易的表达,日夜均可使用,即&b&&&u&Have a good one&/u&!&,&/b&简单顺口,客套必备。&br&&br&5.宾语前置(知友&a href=&///people/16fed16a9b9d622cbc363& data-hash=&16fed16a9b9d622cbc363& class=&member_mention& data-editable=&true& data-title=&@Scrummble& data-hovercard=&p$b$16fed16a9b9d622cbc363&&@Scrummble&/a&指出应该是状语前置)&br&这是种B格很高的表达方式,在每张美元背面都有一句话&&b&&u&In God We Trust&/u&&/b&&(如下图)&br&&img src=&/46207dfd3d5d6fdd4436cfb7_b.jpg& data-rawwidth=&688& data-rawheight=&280& class=&origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb& width=&688& data-original=&/46207dfd3d5d6fdd4436cfb7_r.jpg&&&br&此外有次等红灯时,看见前面一辆车的车牌上的Motto写的是&&u&&b&United We Stand&/b&&/u&&,当时瞬间感受到这种句式的力量与B格,于是脑补出一句“&u&&b&A Sandwich I Had&/b&&/u&&。(&a href=&///people/16fed16a9b9d622cbc363& data-hash=&16fed16a9b9d622cbc363& class=&member_mention& data-editable=&true& data-title=&@Scrummble& data-hovercard=&p$b$16fed16a9b9d622cbc363&&@Scrummble&/a&还说我的例子语法错误…我去角落捂脸了)&br&&img src=&/e19f56ab63b197ee08d5ff4a144400eb_b.jpg& data-rawwidth=&200& data-rawheight=&200& class=&content_image& width=&200&&&br&&br&6. Without further ado&br&这句在YouTube视频里经常听到,那些YouTubers在视频开头往往先介绍这个视频是干什么的,再顺便扯几句近期生活,然后在切入正题之前,有时会用这么一句&&b&&u&Without further ado&/u&&/b&, let's get started.&这句话的意思就类似于“&b&&u&废话少说&/u&&/b&,让我们开始吧。”&br&&br&每次听到这句,我都会联想另一个四字常用词汇“原来如此”,真希望它在英文里也有完全对应的翻译,我就不用每次都将说了半句的“搜迪斯卡”咽下去了。。。&br&&br&7. Figure&br&当想表达“我觉得/我认为/我猜”的时候,有个很好用的表达就是“I figure..&&br&&br&-&b&&u&I figured&/u&&/b& you might wanna be alone for a while, so I didn't bother you.&br&&br&8. Petite/plus size/pale/fair/tan/dark&br&这几个都是形容外貌的,就放在一起说。&br&&br&在形容人个子矮的时候,short可能不够委婉,一般说&b&&u&petite&/u&&/b&。&br&&br&在形容人胖的时候,fat明显不够委婉,可以说&b&&u&plus size&/u&&/b&。&br&&br&在形容肤色时,长得白和黑不是white和black(慎用!),而是&u&&b&pale/fair&/b&&/u&(形容白),&b&&u&tan/dark&/u&&/b&形容黑&br&&br&9. Email常用礼貌用语&br&-I hope this email finds you well.用于开头。&br&-Any response will be appreciated.用于结尾,通常正文是找对方询问事情。&br&-Please feel free to let me know if there should be any question.用于句尾,通常正文是上交文件,材料,或者回答问题等。&br&-It would be great/the best if you could...这就是传说中比&Could you please...&还要更加委婉的请求式句型了。&br&&br&10. I'm good.&br&这句可以用来回答How are you?此外,常用于:&br&&br&-Do you want some chips with your sandwich?&br&-No, &u&&b&I'm good&/b&&/u&. Thanks.&br&&br&-Do you have any questions?&br&-No, &u&&b&I'm good&/b&&/u&.&br&&br&也可用作委婉拒绝。&br&-Do you wanna go to a strip club?&br&-&b&&u&I'm good&/u&&/b&.&br&&br&&br&&u&&b&&i&(以下为8.2更新)&/i&&/b&&/u&&br&&br&11. Shoot&br&除了“射击”之意,还有以下日常用法:&br&&br&-Whenever you need help, just &u&shoot&/u& me an email. (比send更口语化)&br&&br&-I've collected some negative comments on you.&br&-&b&&u&Shoot&/u&&/b&. (类似于Go ahead说吧)&br&&br&-I was &u&&b&shooting&/b&&/u& for 100, but 98 is ok. (意为本想&b&冲击&/b&100分)&br&&br&-Oh &b&&u&shoot&/u&&/b&...(其实就是Oh s**t! 的委婉说法)&br&&br&12. 结束对话用语&br&-I'll leave you be. (类似于“打扰了”,“告辞了”,是在《纸牌屋》里看到Claire对一个白宫工作人员或是记者说的)&br&&br&-As you were. (这句通常上司对下属讲完工作之后可能用到,是在《基本演绎法》里看到的)&br&&br&13. Off the hook&br&意为“从麻烦脱身”,可以想象一条鱼脱离鱼钩的样子。&br&&br&-He paid all the fines so he's finally &b&&u&off the hook&/u&&/b& now.&br&-He's &u&&b&off the hook&/b&&/u&, he doesn't do drugs any more.&br&&br&《绝望主妇》里面Bree问她儿子Andrew,现在年轻人还说&Awesome&吗?Andrew告诉她,他们现在都说&Off the hook&,可见,这个词组也有Cool, awesome之意。&br&&br&-That party was &u&&b&off the hook&/b&&/u&!&br&&br&印象中《宋飞正传》里Jerry, Elaine和George有对off the hook和on the hook的一段讨论,但是在网上搜出来的似乎都是小黄网站,于是隐隐觉得似乎这个表达不是什么好表达了。。。&br&&br&14. Hands down&br&有“绝对,毫无疑问”之意。可以这样联想,因为毫无疑问,所以不会举手提问,也就是hands down。&br&&br&-My favorite TV show is &u&&b&hands down&/b&&/u&&i&Friends.&/i&&br&&br&&br&15. Though&br&大家都熟悉though用于句首和句中表转折,但可能不太了解它放在句末的用法。&br&&br&-Do you want me to get you a cup of coffee?&br&-No, I'm good. Thank you &u&&b&though&/b&&/u&. (意为&u&&b&不过还是)&/b&&/u&&br&&br&&br&另外一个用法是在Instagram上看到的,关注了一个账号整天推送搞笑短视频,内容都是人和动物摔倒啊,被砸啊,被吓到啊等等很囧的场面。然后这个账号经常配的文字就是以though结尾的语句,可以感觉到明显的&u&讥讽意味&/u&。例如:&br&&br&(一个男人被电梯整蛊吓得尖叫)&br&-That scream &b&&u&thoug&/u&&/b&&u&&b&h&/b&&/u&. (重音在scream)&br&&br&(一只狗打了一个喷嚏,然后全身狂抖)&br&-That sneeze &b&&u&though&/u&&/b&.(重音在sneeze)&br&&br&16. Sure/Of course/Certainly&br&当时初中学英语的时候记得这三个词经常一起出现,表达“当然”,一直模模糊糊地认为他们是一个意思,后来慢慢地才了解到他们的用法的区别。&br&&br&Sure一般用来表达欣然同意对方的提议,意为“&b&&u&好呀&/u&&/b&”:&br&&br&-Can I give you a call?&br&-&b&&u&Sure&/u&&/b&!&br&&br&-Would you like to get a cup of coffee or something?&br&-&b&&u&Sure&/u&&/b&!&br&&br&而Of course则有&b&&u&“那当然了”,“不用多说”&/u&&/b&的意味在里面:&br&&br&-There are, &u&&b&of course&/b&&/u&, exceptions to the rule.&br&&br&-What do you do now?&br&-Still farming.&br&-&u&&b&Of course&/b&&/u&.&br&(此对话来自《唐顿庄园》里庄主Robert问他领地里的一位农民现在做些什么,农民回答还是做农活,并且一脸颓丧的样子,潜台词是“我还能做啥,还不是做做农活而已”,Robert听后稍愣了一下,大概觉得自己问的问题有点愚蠢,于是说了句&u&&b&Of course&/b&&/u&. 可见,如果问了一个本该知道答案的问题,对方回答后,你可以说这么一句&u&&b&Of course.&/b&&/u&)&br&&br&Certainly则比较少见,在Google上查到它的使用频率也是渐渐下降:&br&&img src=&/da6d8ed2fd1fb8c17dc4ff8c6fe89e3b_b.jpg& data-rawwidth=&542& data-rawheight=&190& class=&origin_image zh-lightbox-thumb& width=&542& data-original=&/da6d8ed2fd1fb8c17dc4ff8c6fe89e3b_r.jpg&&不知道是不是一个渐渐淡出江湖的词汇。&br&&br&&br&&u&&b&&i&(以下为8.4更新)&/i&&/b&&/u&&br&&br&&br&17. 模糊语气&br&在表达“差不多”,“接近”,“...的样子” ,“之类的”等模糊的意思时,除了nearly, approximately, almost, kind of, sort of 等词汇外,更口语的说法还有&b&&u&or s&/u&&/b&&b&&u&o&/u&, &u&-ish&/u&&/b&&b&, &u&...s&/u&&/b&&b&&u&omething&/u&&/b&等:&br&&br&-He has worked in the company for a year and two months &u&&b&or so.&/b&&/u&&br&-After dinner I had 30 cherries &u&&b&or so&/b&.&/u&&br&&br&-That movie was good-&u&&b&ish&/b&&/u&.(此人应该觉得电影并不怎么好看)&br&-That color is blue-&u&&b&ish&/b&&/u&.&br&-Let's meet around 9-&u&&b&ish.&/b&&/u&&br&&br&&br&-30 books every &u&&b&twenty&/b&&/u&&u&&b&-something&/b&&/u& girl must read. (类似于知乎豆瓣经常出现的&u&&b&20多岁&/b&&/u&女孩的必读书单)&br&-Wanna a cup of water or &u&&b&something&/b&&/u&?&br&&br&18. Sense&br&sense的意思非常多,有“...感”,“意思/意识”,“目的”等,无法和一个中文词汇完全对应。国内用到a sense of的标配经常是a sense of humor,其实可以使用的范围非常广。&br&&br&-What is &u&&b&the sense of&/b&&/u& going out in the rain? (意为“&u&&b&目的”&/b&&/u&)&br&-The purpose of the meeting is to let you get &u&&b&a sense of&/b&&/u& how we work. (好难翻译!请意会)&br&-Does that &u&&b&make sense&/b&&/u& to you?(这句话很常见,通常在解释完某个复杂的事情或事物后,为了解对方是否听明白,会问这么一句,配以拧巴的眉头,微倾的头颅)&br&&br&19. 没听懂对方的话时&br&听不懂或没听清对方的意思,这种状况常常发生,不论你是不是native speaker。除了Sorry? Excuse me? Could you repeat that? 以及英语课本里教的I beg your pardon? 可以用来要求对方再说一遍外,还可以这样告诉对方&u&&b&你没听清&/b&&/u&:&br&&br&-!#%^*&??#^&&br&-Sorry, &u&&b&you lost me&/b&&/u&. &br&&br&-#%^&^$(!_+?&&&br&-Sorry, &u&&b&I didn't follow&/b&&/u&. &br&&br&20. A touch of&br&意为&&u&&b&一点儿&/b&&/u&&, 但是不是比a little, a bit of听起来要更有画面感?&br&&br&-&Chinese White Tie& means White Tie with &u&&b&a touch of &/b&&/u&China. (这是美国Vogue杂志主编Anna Wintour给记者解释刚过去的中国主题Met Gala的dress code的含义时用的原句。)&br&&br&-I have &u&&b&a touch of&/b&&/u& flu and need some rest.(意为“&u&轻微的&/u&”)&br&&br&21. Shy of&br&意思类似于short of。&br&-He's just &u&&b&shy of&/b&&/u& 6 feet. (&&u&&b&接近&/b&&/u&&6英尺=1.8288米)&br&&br&《老友记》里面有次6人玩扑克牌,Ross加注的时候发现钱不够了,说了句&Joey, I'm a little shy here.&,意思是钱不够了,想找Joey借钱,结果Joey傻了吧唧地拍了拍Ross肩膀,说有哥们儿在,不怕。还好Chandler听出了shy的第二层意思,掏出了钱包。&br&&br&22. Dress up/down &br&Dress up可不是穿上衣服的意思,而是&b&&u&穿着正式&/u&&/b&的意思,相应的&b&穿着随意&/b&则是dress down.&br&&br&-You need to&b&&u& dress up&/u&&/b& for the dinner. But during the daytime, you can &b&&u&dress down&/u&&/b& as you like.&br&&br&&br&&u&&b&&i&(以下为8.11更新)&/i&&/b&&/u&&br&&br&&br&23. 又是几个对话常见表达,适用于特定场合。&br&&br&在宾馆/图书馆/售票处/电话客服..办事结束后,经常会听到一句&&b&&u&You're all set.&/u&&/b&& 听到这句话就知道事儿已办妥可以拎着东西滚了。如果不知道自己的事儿是不是弄好了,而对方又专心致志作敲键盘状时,可以问一句&&b&&u&Am I all set?&/u&&/b&& 不要像楼主第一次住完宾馆在前台傻了吧唧地站在那儿等人家给我receipt等了二十分钟,人家终于忍不住问我&What else can I help you with?&才知道我早就可以滚了。。&br&&br&有时用公共饮水机/洗手池时有可能不巧地前面正好有人在使用,于是站在别人身后两英尺处耐心等待,同时说一声&&b&&u&Take your time&/u&&/b&& 让对方不用太着急,对方使用完可能对你说声&&b&&u&All yours&/u&&/b&&让你放心上前使用,文明的世界真美好。&br&&br&24. At some point&br&这个表达非常好用,可以表示过去某时刻,也可以表示将来某时刻。&br&&br&-&b&&u&At some point&/u&&/b& I decided she was no longer my friend. (表示之前某时刻)&br&&br&-Do you want me to add that information in the document?&br&-No. But &b&&u&at some point&/u&&/b& we will need that. (表示将来某时刻,比in the future明显更适用)&br&&br&25. Comfort&br&Comfort的意思大家都懂,就是舒服,舒适,爽。在国内的时候,我只知道俺家的沙发是comfortable的,而在老美的口语表达中,这个词可以使用的语境实在是多。&br&&br&-You should make sure you are &b&&u&comfortable&/u&&/b& with the height every time you jump off. (这是楼主第一次去攀岩俱乐部玩抱石时,教练对我说的,comfortable在这里的意思更贴近于“&b&没有不适,能接受”&/b&)&br&&br&&br&-If no support was provided, we should perform audit steps to obtain &b&&u&comfort&/u&&/b& that the item was appropriately included. (这里意译过来应该是&b&“确保”&/b&,意思等同于make sure)&br&&br&可见comfortable这种状态,不一定是躺在沙发上全身放松,还可以是生活工作中每一个细小的,让你呼吸平稳,心跳规律的状态。&br&&br&&i&&u&&b&(以下为8.25更新)&/b&&/u&&/i&&br&&br&&br&26. Thing&br&除了“事物”之意外,在口语中还有以下常见用法:&br&&br&-I think he has &u&&b&a thing&/b&&/u& for you. (就是中文里“他对你&u&有意思”&/u&的意思)&br&&br&-Being funny is Chandler's &u&&b&thing&/b&&/u& and Ross's &u&&b&thing&/b&&/u& is getting divorced. (来自《老友记》,这里thing不好翻译,可以理解为“&u&&b&某人最显著的特质&/b&&/u&”,即让别人想到你就联想起来的东西。)&br&&br&27. Have/get your back &br&&br&意为“&u&&b&罩着你&/b&&/u&”,“&u&挺你&/u&”或者“&b&&u&有我在&/u&&/b&”。&br&&br&-If you ever need help, just ask. You know I &u&&b&have your back&/b&&/u&.&br&&br&-Just go ahead. Don't worry. &b&&u&I got your back.&/u&&/b&&br&&br&&br&28. In the middle of nowhere&br&&br&意为“&b&&u&荒郊野外&/u&&/b&”。&br&&br&-Bree once dropped her teenage son &u&&b&in the middle of nowhere&/b&&/u&.&br&&br&29. Walk through&br&&br&虽然这个词组里有walk这个动词,但是通常和行走没有太大关系。可以理解为“&b&&u&过一遍&/u&&/b&”。&br&&br&-Could you &b&&u&walk me through&/u&&/b& the process so I can get a better understanding of your business?&br&&br&&br&30. 标点符号的说法&br&&br&仔细想想我们还没有好好学习过标点符号的英语表达呢,那就一起总结一下吧!&br&&br&, comma&br&. period&br&— dash (破折号,用法为句子A - 句子B,注意字符两边都有空格)&br&# pound (#有时候可作编号之意,比如“#1”为“编号1”, 而No.1则为“排名第一”)&br&/ slash&br&\ backslash&br&&& quote&br&() [] {} brackets&br&*star&br&_ underscore&br&- hyphen (连字符,用法为word-word,组成一个新词,例如anti-discrimination,字符两边没有空格)&br&~ tilde&br&! exclamation point/mark&br&? question mark&br&' apostrophe&br&: colon&br&; semicolon&br&o bullet&br&numerator 分子&br&denominator 分母&br&&br&(真是涨姿势啊!)&br&&br&&u&&b&&i&(以下为11.21更新)&/i&&/b&&/u&&br&&br&31. Doesn't hurt to do something&br&&br&意为“做什么事有好处/不会有坏处”。&br&&br&-&b&&u&It does't hurt to&/u&&/b& take a look of what you've done and see if it could be improved.&br&&br&32. You might wanna/you don't wanna&br&&br&这可以是给别人建议做某事/别做某事时使用的短语。&br&&br&-&b&&u&You might wanna&/u&&/b& have a cup of water at hand in case that food is too spicy.&br&-&b&&u&You don't wanna&/u&&/b& call her in the middle of the night. You don't know how grumpy she could be.&br&&br&33. Can use some &br&&br&意为“正需要”。&br&&br&-After a long week, I &b&&u&can really use some&/u&&/b& rest.&br&&br&-That shirt is too flashy.&br&-You &b&&u&can use some&/u&&/b& flash.&br&(来自《宋飞正传》)&br&&br&34. At the end of the day&br&&br&意为“到头来”,“到最后”,“最终”,并不是“一天的最后”。&br&&br&-They all said they would help me, but &b&&u&at the end of the day&/u&&/b& nobody did.&br&&br&35. The last thing I wanna do&br&&br&可不是“最后一件想做的事”,而是“最不想做的事”。&br&&br&-&b&&u&The last thing I wanna do&/u&&/b& is hurting your brother.&br&(来自《老友记》Rachel对Monica说她不会伤害Ross)&br&&br&&u&&b&&i&(以下为4.14.2016更新)&/i&&/b&&/u&&br&&br&&br&36. Be my guest&br&&br&这个表达可不是邀请对方做客,而是&b&&u&在对方提出要做某件事的时候给出允许&/u&&/b&。&br&&br&-Can I have the last piece of cake?&br&-Sure! &b&&u&Be my guest&/u&&/b&.&br&&br&老友记里面有一集Monica和Rachel楼上的邻居把地毯撤掉了,各种噪声通过天花板传来听得一清二楚,Pheobe问她们怎么不上去和那人说,Monica表示那人太帅了,她没法开口。Phoebe不信,决定要上楼去教训下那个人。Monica和Pheobe之间有这样一段对话:&br&&br&&strong&MONICA :&/strong& He took up the carpets and now you can hear everything. &br&&strong&PHOEBE :&/strong& Well, why don’t you go up there and ask him to just, like &step lightly, please&? &br&&strong&MONICA :&/strong& I have, like five times, but they guy is so charming that I go up there to yell and then I end up apologizing to him. &br&&strong&PHOEBE :&/strong& Ewww, that is ...&em&(angrily)&/em& silly. I’ll go up there, I’ll tell him to keep it down. &br&&strong&MONICA :&/strong& Alright. &b&&u&Be my guest. &/u&&/b&&br&&br&&br&37. Gut&br&&br&直译过来是“肚子”,但在英语里面有“&u&&b&直觉&/b&&/u&”之意。&br&&br&-I don't know how to decide.&br&-Well, what does your &u&gut&/u& tell you?&br&&br&有时又指“&b&&u&胆量&/u&&/b&”。&br&&br&-I hate that guy! I want to punch him in the face!&br&-You don't have the &b&&u&guts&/u&&/b&.&br&&br&38. It works&br&&br&这个表达在日常口语中实在太常见了。在国内时work往往指工作,但在英语中更像是说某件事“&b&&u&有效运行&/u&&/b&”。&br&&br&-I don't understand how polygamy &b&&u&works&/u&&/b&.&br&&br&-We tried a new model and it &b&&u&worked&/u&&/b&!&br&&br&39. Buy that&br&&br&除了“&b&&u&买它&/u&&/b&”的直译外,还有“&u&相信一个说法”&/u&的意思。来看例句理解吧:&br&&br&-He said he didn't do it but &b&&u&I don't buy it&/u&&/b&.&br&&br&-She told me she missed our date because she had to work.&br&-That's so made up! I can't believe you &b&&u&bought it&/u&&/b&.&br&&br&40.
