我们是不是对assumption的理解有误？
与其说是选择support的选项 倒不如的选择作者的预设立场？ 正如在argument里头我们攻击的那样。。。。。

楼主最后的理解是对， assumption 题 基本不会去对论据思考，主要是找到hidden premise
建议楼主去看GMAT逻辑，收获会很大

So clearly some of Malton's population growth between 1990 and 1992 must be attributable to migration into the city by people in their mid -60's$ 为B的话，选项D的意思是 让A可行， 比90年多出的550全是65的而且都接受了卡片，E选项是对A的再次陈述

第二题 楼主理解错了 这题是支持类题目，C如果是假设类的题目他是对，但这是支持类，而D的选项是直接支持的结论的

多谢楼上的解释 原来果然是一直理解错了啊 这就去看看GMAT的逻辑题去
关于互相回答问题什么的 倒是也有这种感觉
不过 更多时候应该是版主超尽职的关系吧。。。。。
大家刷网页刷的也不是很勤 经常进去的时候就发现版主已经回答过了。。。。
也有时候是因为自己也不懂。。。。。

你的分析似乎有点问题，我觉得assumption是用来支持结论的。也就是说assumption是让&事实-&结论&的推理过程更加合理的条件。所以assumption并不是为了让事实看上去可行。
如你对第一题的分析，A是事实，B是结论，那么就要找A+哪个选项能合理的推出B。

　　找准逻辑题中Assumption题的脉搏
　　GMAT逻辑题中Assumption题的解题方法就是&找到关键词进行比较&。因此，你要在看到GMAT逻辑题的题干时立刻反映出要去找关键词。这样就会有的放矢。大多正确答案都会包括两个关键词，而不是一个。
　　例一：Time and time again, it has been shown that students who attend colleges with low faculty/student ratios get the most well-rounded education. As a result, when my children are ready for college, I'll be sure they attend a school with a very small student population.
　　Which of the following, if true, identifies the greatest flaw in the reasoning above?
　　原文大意：
　　因为&&老师/学生的比例高，导致学生好
　　所以&&要参加学生少的学校
　　关键词：
　　因为&&老师/学生的比例
　　所以&&学生
　　比较：
　　学生=老师/学生的比例
　　很显然，这就是缺陷所在，学生不能代表老师/学生的比例。如果GMAT逻辑题的题干问你assumption,你就要选择&学生能代表这个比例&。
　　答案：A very small student population does not, by itself, ensure a low faculty/student ratio.
　　例二：This editorial cannot be a good argument because it is barely literate. Run-on sentences, slang, and perfectly dreadful grammar appear regularly throughout. Anything that poorly written cannot be making very much sense.
　　Which of the following identifies an assumption in the argument above?
　　原文大意：
　　因为&&(1)这个期刊是文学;用的都是不好的句子、语法;
　　(2)用不好的句子、语法写作的文章，不是argument
　　所以&&这个期刊不是argument。
　　关键词：

　　Assumption
　　一、说明
　　很多人对assumption题很疑惑，当然也包括我。但是，如果从出题者角度出发去分析该类题型，也就是出题者希望我们找出怎样的逻辑问题，在哪里找出问题，我们就容易得出该类题型的攻击点了。
　　举个例子：(前提)小明是第一中学篮球队的队员，(结论)小明身高肯定有180cm。这里存在什么问题?很显然，前提和结论中间缺少了“连接”，这个“连接”就是GMAT的考点。也就是说，原文作者如果想要别人认可他的结论，就必须假设在前提和结论中间有一个“连接”，这个“连接”英文就是“assumption”。
　　Assumption题的题干大多比较一目了然，会直接存在“assume"等单词。少数有些变更，比如：The argument presupposes
which one of the following? 或 Which one of the following ,if added to the
passage, will make the conclusion logical?
　　还有一些问题虽然明知是assumption题，却会让我们在审题时浪费一些时间，比如：The author assumes which of the
following about the "one day only" sale merchandise in predicting the
effectiveness of these sales?
这个题干中包含了文章中的一些内容，对于刚开始复习的，特别是阅读较差的人来说就是个灾难。其实，我个人很喜欢这种题干，为什么?原因很简单，题干就给我们明确提示了我们应该注意的关键点。
　　二、答题思路
　　在这里，我依旧沿用(1)中的方法，使用“因为和所以”代替“前提和结论”进行分析。
　　解题方法很简单，既然GAMT要我们找到“因为”和“所以”之间的“连接句”，我们就要首先找到因为和所以。然后从因为和所以中提炼出关键词，最后，对关键词进行比较。正确选项，就是存在着这种比较的一个答案。
　　接着前面的例子，我们按照这个思路简单分析一下。
　　(前提)小明是第一中学篮球队的队员，(结论)小明身高肯定有180cm。
　　第一步，找到因为和所以——
　　因为——小明是篮球队员
　　所以——身高180
　　第二部，也是最关键的一步，我们要抽象出因为和所以里面的最关键因素(后称“关键词”)。
　　因为——篮球队员
　　所以——有身高
　　第三步，对关键词进行比较，
　　篮球队员=身高
　　第四部，到答案中找这两个关键词，并根据第三步的比较结果审查答案是否正确。
　　答案：所有第一中学的篮球队员身高都在180cm以上。
