第一部分：择校
据综合分析，目前英语专业研究生录取的院校及其专业方向大致可分为以下5类：
1.研究类高校，如北京大学、清华大学、复旦大学、武汉大学、中山大学、南开大学等。这一类学校的研招考试有一定难度，比较适合那些准备读博或有志于理论研究的人报考。
2.外语院校类，如北京外国语大学、上海外国语大学、天津外国语学院、四川外国语大学、西安外国语大学等。这类院校重视基本功，着重于语言研究。其报考火爆，竞争相对激烈，考生的水平都很强，适合那些既有理论头脑、又有实践能力的人报考。
3.理工科类英语专业，如北京交通大学、上海交通大学、北京航空航天大学、北京理工大学、武汉理工大学、哈尔滨工程大学等。这类高校将语言同科学技术联系在一起，重视词汇量、基本功以及英语在科学技术中的应用。这些院校题目出得整齐，准备起来也比较容易，但不一定好考，因为近年来报考的人数逐年递增。
4.将英语和政治、经济、文化、外交紧密联系的院校，如对外经济贸易大学、外交学院、广东外语外贸大学等。这类院校适合那些有志从事外交、外贸工作的考生报考。
5.关注度少的较为冷门的地方院校。这类学校报的人不多，比较好考，试卷水平相当英语专业八级或略低于专业八级的水平，比较适合对自己的英语能力没有充分把握的考生报考。
& & 就上述分析来看，前四类院校都比较有特色，这些院校的英语专业研究生在将来毕业时都会有自己独特的优势和就业领域。对于有意报考英语专业的研究生来说，这些院校是首选。
& & 近年来，考生中存在一种重大的认识误区：很多考生认为学英语就应该去一些文科院校，尤其是英语专业特点较为鲜明的院校，比如北外、上外、川外等。当然，如果你有足够的实力和自信，这也无可厚非。但是，在多数情况下这并非明智之举。这些院校报考人数多，录取率很低。相比之下，清华、北航、北理工、哈工程等理工科强势院校，英语专业也都很有特点。更重要的是，这些院校在英语同理工专业的结合方面做得很好。这些院校研究生阶段除了要学习一般院校所开设的英语语言文学、词汇学、翻译、写作等课程外，还要学习各院校所独具的优势专业，比如航天领域、船舶领域相关英语等。具有这样专业背景的研究生在将来的就业竞争中无疑更具竞争力。
& && & 有些同学问，我应该考什么学校呢，请大家给我点建议。我想这个问题实在是太宽泛了，所以很难给出一个有建设性的答案。以上材料中基本已经把有英语专业的院校分类清楚。建议大家在选学校前对自己期望的就业方向、本科教育背景（这里不是指你本科学校好坏，而是你本科专业与研究生专业的结合度）与自身能力进行一个大致的评估，然后决定自己考什么类型的学校。当然上述材料也不是一成不变的，不是北大复旦出来就一定要做研究。
& && & 接下来大家可以根据自己的学习情况在这个类型的学校中选出来适合自己的几所。大家可以查查这些学校的分数线，看看真题难易度，做一个横向的对比，选择适合自己的学校。在这方面，自己动手，丰衣足食。
& && & 这几年英语专业毕业生非常多，就业竞争也非常激烈，因此个人认为在选择学校时，地缘等都是应该考虑的因素，尽量选择比较有竞争力的学校。
第二部分：专业方向
& && & 专业方向和以后就业方向有很大联系。在选专业方向之前大家应该先问自己这样两个问题。大学四年，我发现自己的兴趣在哪里。是语言学、文学还是翻译？毕业以后，希望往哪个方向就业。是继续研究语言文学还是做翻译，是做教师还是从事外贸外事工作？
& && & 相比之下，语言学可能要枯燥一些，是属于研究型的，因此也要求同学们真正热爱这个专业，才能在学习中找到乐趣所在。否则在学习时对自己是种折磨。我在选专业时就是因为自己比较浮躁，对语言研究也不太感兴趣，所以选择了比较实用的翻译。在这里有很多同学有一种误解。做翻译非常赚钱，非常风光，口若悬河神马的。我很惭愧的说，如果学艺不精，做翻译可能没有你想象的那么好。大多数笔译是专注于某一领域的，比如科技建筑什么的，也是比较枯燥的。
& && & 二楼是为大家找的英语专业方向的一些详细资料，大家可以作为参考。
第三部分：参考书目和辅导班
& && & 请大家仔细阅读招生简章，里面基本列出了所有你需要的初级信息，参考书目，招生人数等。至于辅导班，据我了解，英语专业辅导班比较少，并且英语专业考研更多的是注重日常积累。看到有些辅导班动辄几千块，言称保过之类的，请大家慎重考虑。
第四部分：“我该怎么复习”
& && & 这是很多同学问的问题。英语专业考研的四科，政治、二外、基础英语、专业课时间该如何分配？
& && & 政治方面我就不多说了，坛子上有很多经验帖，大家可以做参考
& && & 关于二外。各个学校基本大二大三就开设了二外的课程，考研的同学在这一科上应该打好提前量，切忌把二外拖到最后复习。否则最后应该把大把时间分给专业课的时候，你在二外上纠结太长时间会感到手忙脚乱，影响整个复习进度。现在就应该开始进行二外的复习了。二外虽然不是重头戏，但是每年也有不少人卡在二外上，因此要细水长流的做好二外的复习。个人建议，不论你的二外是什么语种，你考的是什么学校，都要十分重视历年真题！把过去几年的二外真题做会，吃透，可能要顶的上你看好几遍书。因为有些学校二外卷里甚至会有往年的原题出现。
& && & 关于基础英语，就是两个字，积累。你平时做的阅读，背的单词，都是基础英语学习的一部分。其实基础英语也有点像专八，各个学校出的题型虽然不同，不过主要还是阅读写作翻译改错什么的，所以可以一手抓基英一手抓专八。刚开始备考的同学们买了或者下载到历年真题后就可以根据题型啥的进行复习了。真题可以等到后几个月再做的，现在不用着急。
& && & 至于专业课。有些同学问，时间上来不来得及。我觉得专业课有五个月左右的坚持学习的话应该就差不多了，不太建议把专业课战线拉的太长。但是如果你考的学校对专业课要求比较高的话，可以早些着手。各个方向不同，这里我就不细说了。
& && &&&以上是给大家的一些大致的建议和方向，希望对大家有用。
& && &&&另外，要给大家的建议就是，不管你师出何门，不管你要去往何处，语言的学习主要还是靠自己。并且不是一日之功。考研是梦想但不是目的，真正要用到工作中，大家还是要提高整体的实力。A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

但考研英语考的是逻辑理解能力，平时就要让自己集中精神看文章，并且用英语来表达自己的观点
这不只是我个人的感觉 实际上英语考纲上也是这样说的
我觉得英语考纲解析里面的话都挺有道理的没必要老是想走捷径英语还是要厚积薄发的
我自己英语考得还行 不过一直到考前都没有做过一套模拟题但是英语考纲上的那些解析我都看了窃以为如果做了模拟题可能会更好 哈哈
英语文摘倒是读了不少，还有一些英文版教材
学校的外教资源我也没有浪费，每个学期-包括考研的那个学期-都坚持选修外教的课程，并且认认真真完成布置的作业，自己的英语听说读写能力有很大的提升
我考研买的资料其实不少，但真正做了的没几本。可能真正有认真看过一遍的就是那几本考纲解析。其他的后来都是全新卖出去了。
拿政治来讲，我的那本历年试题解析几乎是一个字未动。每次我想翻开它看看，最后都放下了。倒是人民日报看了不少。每天早上到图书馆，我就先去报架拿一份人民日报，先看头版头条，再看经济新闻，有时候看海外版。到快考试了也是这样。坐我旁边的老是笑我怎么这么悠闲自在。
数学三，我就按考纲过了一遍书，说实话，有没有一遍还是个问题，有些我看到不耐烦了就跳过去了，总是抱着一些侥幸心理，觉得这个他不会考吧~最后真有一道大题目，有个概念我看都没看到过，囧~对我自己表示无奈~最后109，也是我活该。考完我跟同学说，下年我应该可以考149+，哈哈~但是我有个好的地方是，我喜欢自己总结知识点。我自己有个本子上全写着我对数学知识的总结。一般我只有理解了才能写得出来，所以，自己总结可以帮助我真正掌握书本上的知识。还有那个李永乐全书，我觉得挺好的，看了一些，但看得很马虎。因为每次看着看着，就觉得我自己可以总结得比他好。另外，说一下，我大学的数学课基本上只是期末考的时候才抱几天佛脚勉强过关。所以，我对自己数学要求也不是很高。
经济学，妈呀，这个是我最大的难题了。因为，其实我一直都想考其他专业。是迫于家里人的压力才报的经济学。我大致上把高鸿业的那本书看了一遍，然后自己总结了一遍。我那两个笔记本自认为可以拿去出版了。总结得很好，哈哈。可惜，用得少，所以记得不牢。到了考场有些定理完全忘记了，有些定理还是我到了考试的时候根据自己的理解慢慢推出来的。像那个福利经济学什么定理的，我完全没概念啊，后来才知道，超级简单。真亏~当时想起来，我就可以多拿十多分嘛。不过好歹勉强过线了。呵呵~反正想到有些同学准备了两三年都没考上，我三个月，撑过去了，还觉得比较满意了，呵呵·
说这么多呢~其实是觉得，考研它就是个考试，不用看得太重。为了考研翘课啊~抛开七情六欲啊~什么的~我觉得是没必要咯~我觉得平时跟同学出去聚聚什么的，上上课挺好的。考研英语那些阅读理解文章的主题，都是当前的一些杂志上的热点，我之前都有跟同学讨论到的哦，所以，看到的时候觉得特别亲切，很容易理解。
说说我准备考研时的优缺点
优点：心态够放松。暑假一直拖拖拉拉没准备也没觉得怎么急。国庆下定决心后还是经常看两三天书就去吃个火锅啥的。
精神够集中。虽然经常出去娱乐娱乐，放松放松，但是只要是在读书，我就全神贯注。整个人就像吸了白粉一样（我只是想说明我很集中精神）。有一次，图书馆大挪移，我桌子旁边的一排桌椅被工作人员搬走了我都没察觉到。是到下午有同学跟我抱怨图书馆上午好吵，我后来才发现原来当时有这么件事情发生了。我状态好的时候，一天有效看书时候可以达到十四个小时，不过这绝对不是常态，哈哈~
思维够发散。我准备考研的时候经常喜欢看些报纸杂志什么的，我会一直边看边联想，边看边对要考的知识点多一些感悟，然后加深了理解。还有，我基本上不相信那些考研班或者是什么牛贴上说的大道理，我一直觉得那些是写给思想上图轻松的人看的。他们个个都只想通过所谓的“努力”得到一个结果，但其实那些努力都只是不自信的人对自己的安慰，那是瞎混。我觉得固然要努力奋斗，但是，不只是把自己搞到崩溃，还应该多多发散思维去思考说要考的知识点。
缺点：太顺其自然。暑假的时候，大家都在备考。我觉得太热了，而且也静不下心来，就旅游去了。现在是考上了，可以马后炮说是坦然放松什么的。那没考上的话，又是什么呢？还不只，中间，我不知道去吃过多少次火锅和寿司。想出去玩就出去玩，基本上不节制自己。最后十几天，从圣诞节到考前，我又一直感冒，咳咳咳~去到图书馆要吓到周围的人，就基本上没去图书馆看书，还在宿舍玩植物僵尸大作战，囧。
不忠实于计划。经常删改计划让自己轻松一点。第一次定计划，看上去是要长线作战的，为期六个月。然后就以各种各样的理由慢慢变成了一百天的计划。我记得那个时候我同学问我是到了第三轮复习了没~我窘~那个时候我还在搞其他事情。如果当时对自己要求严格一点，也许结果会更好一点。
太孤军奋战。本来我是有些研友的，但也是我动不动几天不去图书馆，慢慢我的座位就被其他人占了。最后就变成一个人这里坐坐，那里坐坐。这里有一个不好就是缺乏参照系，经常沾沾自喜，哪个自以为很难的题目做出来了就会不禁为自己感到一阵牛逼，但其实对其他人来说是小菜一碟。
大概写这么多吧。多励志啊，你想想，连我这种人都考上了。
其实，我初试真的考得一般，是那种很悬的分数。我都说没戏拉倒，找工作去。找不到工作，家教也能养活自己吧。所以，复试的时候真的是放松了。在等待复试的时候，人大经济学院的几个专业都在一个教室。我看旁边几个都好紧张。有一个作痴呆状，有一个作茫然状，还有一个癫狂状……不知道最后他们录取了没。
反正我进去教室的时候，就把那几个老师当自己学院的老师（我是跨校跨地区考研），他们问什么我就答什么，有时候还在他们面前用手比比划划-把之前死党的告诫忘得一干二净。英语复试的时候，那个老师问我大学做过一些什么research，我就照答，也是把她当做自己的老师。也不怕说错话。
最后复试分数貌似是专业第一~神奇吧。

一、英语复试注意事项
1了解报考院校专业往年的英语复试形式
各院校各专业的英语复试形式各不相同，一定要对症下药。可以通过询问以前考过的师兄、师姐们来了解英语复试的形式，或者及时关注考研帮，帮仔也会第一时间进行汇总，推送给各位研研。
2了解导师、考官
首先必须了解导师在该专业的研究方向，可能的话，看看他们写的书，因为在专业问题上，导师一般都会往自己研究方向上靠拢；其次，了解导师在复试中常问的一些问题及习惯（这个又得求助于师兄师姐们了，当然考研帮也会不遗余力的查找干货内容）；最后，可以给导师发邮件或者打电话，让他或她知道你是谁，有你这么一个考生参加复试。
3注意穿着，把握进门机会
对于现阶段的考研学生来说，穿着结余休闲与适合自己风格为主，注意复试的整洁、清爽。
通常情况下，面试时会有老师喊你的名字，然后你再敲门进入。如果没人通知，即使前面一位面试者已经结束，你也要在门外等待，不要擅自走进面试房间。敲门力度适中，敲两到三下为宜。问好之后，在进行自我介绍。
二、英语复试自我介绍

三、英语复试常见问题

I major in International Trade and have great interest in it. International trade currently become increasingly important in the world of globalization, and those companies desirous to file themselves into the international market and have to confront plenty of issues. I show keen interest in the （报考专业） studies, 报考方向 in particular, even though my major is 原专业. 四、英语复试口试要求
(1)语言准确性(语法和用词的准确性、语法结构的复杂性、词汇的丰富程度、发音的准确性)
(2)话语的长短和连贯性(内容的连贯性、寻找合适词语而造成的停顿频率及长短、表达思想的语言长短等)
(3)语言的灵活性和适合性(语言表达是否灵活、自然，话语是否得体，语言能否与语境、动能和目的相适应)
2口语测试一般包含如下两部分：
第一部分：考查学生理解并回答有关日常生活、家庭、工作、学习等问题的能力(3--5分钟)。
第二部分：考查学生连续表达的能力。考生从所给的问题中选择一个话题，就此话题表达自己的看法(7--10分钟)。

五、英语复试提前准备
1见面问候语与告别用语
见面问候语：Good morning / afternoon, dear professors. I am XXX. (Nice to meet you。
告别用语：Thanks for your time. / Thank you for giving such a chance. I hope to see you again and soon。
2自我介绍篇(重点)
基本上每个院校每个专业的口试中都会涉及这一方面。考官其实是要借此了解你的口头表达能力以及你的报名表之外的一些信息。自我介绍时间以2-3分钟为宜。思路要清楚，要突出重点，口语尽量流利。
自我介绍的主体内容
① 姓名。介绍自己姓名时，发音一定要准(南方考生要多加注意)。
② 年龄。年龄可以跟在姓名后带过(I am XXX, 25 years old)。
③ 原来的院校、专业。注意：一定要把原来学校的英文名称、专业的英文名称弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨专业的学生)。
所属的公司、职位。注意：在职考生则应将自己公司、自己职位/职称的英文名称弄明白。
④性格、能力，爱好等。可以着重强调你的个性对你报考的专业有何积极的作用。如果报考的是学术性的专业，可以说自己细心(carefully，detail-oriented)、条理分明(logical)、踏实(steady)等；如果是研究性、应用性更强一点的专业，可以说自己负责(responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。
⑤你对报考的专业有兴趣(be interested in/be fascinated with/be obsessed with…)，可适当举出一些例子，如经常看相关的书籍、论文、文章、新闻等。在职考生可以强调知识教育对工作的影响： In my work, I find it necessary to broaden my horizons in communication. That's why I long for entering your prestigious university。
结束时可以用说：That's all about me. / Well, that's who I am. Thanks for your attention。

4跨专业问题
老师通常会对跨专业的学生问这样一个问题：为什么会选择这个专业？不要前篇一律地回答只说"我对这个专业感兴趣"，可以把每个人都会谈到的原因简要地罗列一下，对具有自己特色的原因则可大谈特谈，详细地阐述自己的观点，让老师印象深刻。
在英语口试中(非英语专业)，如果老师提问专业问题，通常不会指望你能进行流利的、专业性强的阐述；但是一些专业术语的英文说法还是有必要了解一下的。
在面试快结束的时候，一般老师都会问，你有没有什么要问的(Do you have any questions to ask?)。一般不适合说"I don't have any question。"可以问考官一两个你关心的问题。}
