Going tomorrow for first appt.

I'm almost 14 weeks and have been waiting for Medicaid to kick in and finally found an office willing to work with me, for some reason I'm really nervous for this appt, I guess because in my previous pregnancies I started receiving prenatal care early early...

I'm in the same boat! Tomorrow is my first because I had to screw around with my insurance. I'll be 15 weeks 4 days a lot later then I went with my other previous 5 kids. I'm scared they are gonna be rude that I didn't see them sooner. And I'm also dreading the blood work and stuff. I did however get an ultrasound at a pregnacy center at 12 weeks to confirm due date and check that baby implanted right and stuff.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of, I haven't gotten an ultrasound or anything but have received confirmation of pregnancy from a pregnancy center.. I will be getting an ultrasound tomorrow, maybe that's why I'm nervous, I just want everything t check out okay..

As long as you have been taking prenatals and looking after yourself you and baby should be fine!
There's not really much they need to do in the beginning except for blood tests. But I think some of the most important things are the 20 week anatomy scan to check all systems and the gestational diabetes test.
Like a PP said, I'd mostly be worried about them being rude for waiting to be seen (but it wasn't your fault, so hopefully this isn't an issue for you).

I didnt get my first appointment until I was 13 weeks 2 days. I had my appointment on Friday. Everything was fine, they took weight, blood, asked basic questions, pee sample and I got an ultrasound. Next appointment in a month.

Update how your's goes tomrrow I'm hoping we both have good appointments! I know I'll for sure get an ultrasound and blood work and possibly a Pap smear! Hoping no pap tho. And dreading the blood work. I'm hoping I can find out gender tomrrow

I will, you as well!! I know for sure I will have blood work and ultrasound, I had a Pap smear about 6 months ago so I shouldn't have to have one, hopefully lol.

They did all my blood work today including my second trimester genetic screening so 6 viles of blood they also had to take my a1c cause I'm usually GD and they wanted to check my insulin levels over the last 3 months. No pap but she said I'd probably get one. They also took a peek at my baby who was so active baby is measuring 3 days a head however it's little legs was closed and the cord was between them the ultrasound lady tried awhile and said she thought she seen a penis but wasn't 100% then my dr came in and looked and baby was then face down with legs closed and cord still between them so we don't know the sex for sure. I got my referral to the specialist and I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound and check up with my ob and possibly the pap. No one was rude or anything. How'd yours go?

They did all my blood work today including my second trimester genetic...
Mine went well I'm measuring 10 weeks, I thought I was closure to 14, I had a student tech so who knows if she measured correctly. I go back in a week and a half for blood work and Pap smear and ultrasound. Either way I will likely still deliver in June because of my health condition.

My lo was a little a head. Sucks you gotta get another pap! My dr may skip it cause of my preterm labor risks. I'll likely deliver at the end of May tho cause I'm high risk so they likely won't let me carry past 37 but are not sure little one will stick that long. What kind of health conditions do you have if you don't mind me asking?

I always end up with gestional hypertension and last time I had GD, so I won't make it past 37 weeks either. It's a new doctor so I knew the pap was probably going to be necessary. Luckily I really enjoyed talking to my doctor and he was very straight forward and told it like it is... He didn't sugar coat anything and I appreciate that.
